G-ARLG - CAA information at G-INFO

A wonderful opportunity to own a classic Auster at an amazing price - Ideal for tail wheel hour building...

to Made by AUSTER in 1961 and was designated as a D4-108... The 108 is for the HP delivered by the unusual Lycoming O-235-C1 engine which is original to this aircraft. I was told verbally by a former owner at Compton Abus that this aircraft was built by Auster engineers as a project.

The group is a very friendly bunch based at Bourne Park near Andover at a private strip. The aircraft is hangared with an open front which is easily accessible. There is plenty of availability to use the aircraft and there is an online google booking system which works very well.

This aircraft is a very simple aircraft to fly and has at the moment 2 x CAA instructor examiners that can do the group conversions and check rides...

For a 1/5th share payment of £2900 and £60 per month to pay for hangarage etc... the hourly cost to fly is £60 plus fuel at 6 gallons per hour roughly....

Currently the group has a healthy fund and has annual general meetings with a club secretary, treasurer and one member in charge of the maintenance..
